The Summer CSA Share is the fresh food lover's dream! Our Summer Share is filled with all of the best and freshest produce gathered for you. This is true "farm to plate" eating as many of our veggies are picked just days, even hours, before they're sent to you. Throughout the summer, you enjoy the height of vegetable production granted us by Vermont's long, warm days and our fertile valley soil. If you've never had a CSA share before, this is THE perfect introduction!

Vegetable Offerings

By June and the start of our Summer Share, our greens are growing, our fields are blooming and the offerings become more diverse as each week arrives. Heirloom tomatoes, mesclun, various greens, onions, carrots, eggplant, cucumber, broccoli, cauliflower, herbs, sweet & hot peppers, sweet corn, summer and winter squash are just a handful of the vegetables that we grow. We intend to provide a good amount of standard vegetables each week such as salad greens, carrots, cucumbers, beans, peas, head lettuce, potatoes, onions, summer squash and tomatoes. But you can expect a great level of diversity with over 70 different varieties likely throughout the 17 week season which includes the end of spring, the height of summer, and the early part of fall. We started as a farm catering to high-end restaurants and continue to grow many of the unique and heirloom varieties requested by our chefs.

Localvore Offerings

This period's offerings may include prepared and preserved foods from Pete's Kitchen including fresh salsa, applesauce, pesto, pickles, kimchi, and pizza dough and sauce. We are planning to include free-range eggs every other week; a variety of berries, tree fruits, and apples from Champlain Orchards; yogurt from Butterworks Farm; an array of Northeast Kingdom sheep, cow, and goat cheeses; Vermont Soy tofu products; heirloom and organic beans from Morningstar Farm in Glover; breads from Patchwork, Slowfire, and Red Hen bakeries; oyster and shiitake mushrooms; veggie burgers for grilling made with Vermont-grown ingredients; rolled oats, pearled barley, tamari, and miso from Quebec farms; homemade and healthy granola; and items like local, handrolled tortillas. Many of these items are certified organic and all are locally produced by excellent farms and producers. Plus more surprises!

Visit our online store here for bulk sales of vegetables, frozen items, grains, and meats. Place your order before 12 pm every Monday, and on Wednesday (or Thursday), your order will be delivered to one of our CSA pickup sites! Items updated depending on seasonal availability. If you don't see something, contact usand we'll check on availability. The minimum amount per order is $20.
