Pete's Greens Waterbury Farm Market

Open daily on Route 100 in Waterbury Center

Answering the call for more access to all the bounty that our Craftsbury Farm provides, we launched our second farm market in Waterbury, Vermont on July 22, 2014.  Located on Route 100, Pete's Greens Farm Market is within a stone's throw of Cabot Cheese Outlet and Champlain Chocolates.  We are proud to call Ben and Jerry's and Cold Hollow Cider neighbors as well.  Route 100 in Waterbury is truly a mecca for adventurous eaters.

Our year-round market is organic produce-centric but we are also well stocked with a very diverse selection of  prepared foods, local berries & fruit, local breads, Vermont cheeses and dairy, eggs, grains, honey, local pastured meats, beer, chocolate, and more.  We are truly a neighborhood market with something for every taste.

At the peak of the summer season, we offer over 100 varieties of the extraordinary vegetables that Pete's Greens is known for.  The market is a kaleidoscope of color including vivid purple carrots, flame orange heirloom tomatoes, candy striped beets, and red and white French breakfast radishes.  Our tender young greens are a highlight.  We feature baby arugula, baby spinach, and our sensational Mountain Mesclun.  Summer favorites like sweet corn, blueberries and tomatoes are abundant.  Because we use season extension methods, you can shop many of your favorite veggies for longer than usual. Our produce arrives regularly from the farm in Craftsbury to ensure the peak of freshness. We offer organic produce from other Vermont producers and out-of-state producers as well.

We also offer a large selection of meat from across Vermont.  The animals that supply our meat are pasture raised and therefore packed with extra nutrients and flavor.  Pork, beef, chicken and even locally sourced fish are all on hand, including an assortment of cuts from our VT99 pork project.  We also carry a selection of vegetarian options from Vermont Bean Crafters and Rhapsody.

Our Farm Market is stocked with an abundance of locally produced staples.  Nearly all locally sourced products are wholesome, minimally processed, and organic.  Shop for rolled oats, wheat berries, various types of VT grown wheat flours (whole wheat bread flour, unbleached white flour, and a sifted wheat are commonly among the offerings), pearled barley, cornmeal, popcorn and other assorted grain products.  You'll find maple syrup of course, and also raw honey.  Fresh breads from Green Rabbit and Elmore Mountain (to name a few) are delivered several times a week to provide fresh bread daily. Homemade crackers, sweet jam, hot sauces, and mushrooms are often available, as well as a tasty variety of prepared foods.  Our local cheese selection is carefully curated and features selections from Cellars at Jasper Hill, Sweet Rowen Farmstead, Sage Farm, Lazy Lady Farm, Shelburne Farms, Boston Post Dairy, Taylor Farm, and many others.
